Free consultation usually means sales call. That reputation is earned, so it is fair to be sceptical. Here is what ours actually involves.
It is a conversation, not a presentation
There is no deck. We ask what you are working on, what is not going the way you want, and what you have already tried.
Most of the hour is you talking. That is not a technique, it is that we cannot say anything useful until we understand your situation.
No topic is off limits
People bring a business idea they have not started. A side hustle they cannot grow. A pricing question. Whether to hire. Whether to keep going at all.
Some of what comes up is not really a business problem. That is fine too.
What you leave with
Usually two or three specific things to do next, and a clearer sense of which problem is actually the bottleneck. Often the thing you arrived worried about is not the thing holding you back.
Sometimes you leave with permission to stop doing something. That is a legitimate outcome.
What we get out of it
Being straightforward: we are a nonprofit incubator and some people we meet eventually become CRM subscribers or members. Most do not, and the meeting is the same either way.
If a tool would genuinely help you, we will say so. If you do not need one, we will say that too, and it happens more often than you might expect.
The practical bit
In person or by phone, whichever suits. In person means our office at Intelligent Office in Tysons, with free parking in the garage behind the building.
